The Social Committee would like to thank the Southmont Fire Department for overturning its normal “no community sales allowed” policy. Because all profits will be donated to DCEF (Davidson County Education Foundation) for enriching our public schools, Southmont Fire Department is renting us their meeting room for our Saturday morning (8 AM-noon), June 1, sale. We are also renting it Friday, May 31, for receiving items and setting up. This will be a rain or shine event.
Residents, we hope you haven’t already donated your gently used treasures. We’d love to sell them for this good cause. You can drop items off anytime at the Rolands’ garage area, 195 Tor Court, or, especially large items, bring them to us on Friday morning, May 31, at the Southmont Fire Station on Hwy. 8.
We can sell most everything: furniture of all kinds, lamps, rugs, artwork, housewares, fabric, yarn, sewing supplies, vacuum cleaners, ironing boards, games, jewelry, clothes, shoes, books, toys, camping equipment, plants, and even your old pinball machine. Our sales have great variety and surprises as well as low prices.
We will also include a bake sale and ask our community bakers to please consider baking for this good cause. We will be selling drinks and individually wrapped baked items as well –cookies, brownies, cupcakes — for immediate consumption! All bake sale profits will be donated to the Southmont Fire Department as a special “thank-you” from The Springs.
If you have questions, please feel free to email Liz Roland (email@example.com). Our goal this year is to raise $1,000 for our public schools and invite all in The Springs community to help us meet this goal. Thank you in advance for your support.
